Through our coalition, we learn from each other, recognize our complementarities, support each other's work, and identify gaps we need to fill to advance toward our shared goal.
We recognize that many funders and evaluator-led initiatives are involved in different ways in creating more space for community-based evaluators to contribute their insights to strategic decision-making.
Some focus on small and solo community-based evaluation firms, helping them strengthen their capacities and increase their visibility and networking. Others, like ours, focus more on funders, other evaluation commissioners, and ‘typically lead’ evaluation firms, making the case for these partnerships and offering practical solutions to selection and procurement challenges.
Our coalition meets quarterly, sometimes with everyone together and sometimes in breakout groups, depending on what we are covering.
