Our events are a space for funders, evaluation commissioners, and evaluation firms of all sizes to connect with one another and learn from each other’s practical experiences.
ABOUT OUR EVENTS
Our events are designed to meet participants where they are and help them identify practical steps they can take to further advance partnerships
WEBINARS
During our webinars:
Funders, other evaluation commissioners, and typically lead evaluation firms share the progress they are making toward embracing selection and contracting practices that welcome small and solo community-based evaluation firms as full partners;
Small community-based evaluation firm partners reflect on their experiences with these practices; and
Participants spend time in breakout groups to build relationships, discuss what they have heard, and share their own successes and challenges in strengthening these partnerships.
WORKSHOPS
During virtual and in-person workshops, we guide participants through:
Exploring the value of partnering with small and solo community-based evaluation firms;
Addressing perceived risks of such partnerships;
Discussing how selection and contracting practices foster or inhibit these partnerships; and
Identifying feasible and practical steps they can take to adjust their selection and contracting practices to better support these partnerships.
PRESENTATIONS
Through interactive presentations, we:
Introduce SECPI;
Present experiences strengthening contracting partnerships; and
Facilitate a space in which participants connect with one another, learn from each other’s experiences, and draw out practical lessons valuable to the field.
1:1 CONVERSATIONS
During one-on-one conversations, we go deeper with individual funders, other evaluation commissioners, and typically lead evaluation firms to:
Explore the value of partnering with small and solo community-based evaluation firms;
Address perceived risks of such partnerships;
Discuss ways in which their current selection and contracting practices already foster true partnerships with small and solo community-based evaluation firms; and
Help them identify feasible and practical steps they can take to adjust their selection and contracting practices to better support these partnerships.
